MOFGA’s Certification Services (MCS) was recently recognized with an Investing in INTEGRITY Data Quality Award for the second time in three years. The award, given by the United States Department of Agriculture National Organic Program recognizes accredited organic certifiers for their “extraordinary support of the National Organic Standards.” Congratulations MCS!
“Credit should go first and foremost to Grace Keown, MCS’ operations and information management coordinator, who manages our database and regularly uploads data to the Organic Integrity Database, the National Organic Program’s database tracking all of the operations certified to the USDA’s organic regulations,” says John Welton, MCS certification and quality specialist. “Without her knowledge and attention to detail, MCS would not have received this award.”
MCS certifies crops, wild crops, sea vegetables, livestock, livestock products, and processed products in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. MCS organic certification is the gold standard in organic certification and has been certifying operations since 1972.
