Position: Orchard, Garden and Forest Intern

Primary Responsibilities: Join us this summer to help with key MOFGA programs and projects! This internship will focus on helping care for our educational demonstrations at the MOFGA Education Center in Unity, Maine. This internship is mainly on site at our campus in Unity. There is some housing available on campus that can be used by MOFGA interns if they so desire.

Hours and Salary: 300-400 hours over the summer (start/end dates can be flexible). Some weekend/evening hours
to participate in MOFGA events or care for the orchards and gardens. We offer $15 an hour for this position.

Position: Director of Development and Membership

Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for meeting MOFGA’s yearly fundraising goals, supervising all aspects of the development and membership department including implementation of fundraising activity, coordination of efforts with other key MOFGA departments, and managing the Fundraising Committee.

Hours and Salary: 40 hours — Monday through Friday, and additional evening and weekend hours as needed for events. The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000 annually, dependent upon experience.

Position: Heritage Orchard Assistant

Primary Responsibilities: Assist MOFGA’s Orchard Program Manager in maintaining MOFGA’s orchards to reach their maximum educational potential and preserve heritage apple and pear varieties for future generations.

Hours and Salary: This is a part time temporary position, requiring approximately 32 hours of work per week for 12 weeks, from the beginning of June through the end of August. The actual start and end dates are flexible, but the 12 week work period is firm. The hourly rate for this position is $16 – $18 per hour, depending on experience.
