Code of Conduct
We expect all MOFGA volunteers and community members to adhere to this Code of Conduct during all interactions, whether at in-person events, through digital platforms (e.g., email, social media, video forums), or via phone.
Core Principles
1. Act with Integrity and Honesty. Conduct yourself in a manner that upholds MOFGA’s values and mission.
2. Comply with MOFGA Policies. Stay informed about and adhere to all MOFGA guidelines, including those related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-discrimination.
3. Respect Others. Listen to and engage respectfully with staff, volunteers, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders. Foster an environment of openness, honesty, trust, and respect.
4. Ensure Fair Treatment. Treat everyone equitably, without prejudice or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
5. Use Appropriate Language. Avoid language that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or hateful. Do not engage in speech or actions that incite violence, hatred, or harassment against any individual or group.
6. Address and Report Unacceptable Behavior Challenge. inappropriate or unacceptable behavior, including hate speech or harassment, and report breaches of this Code of Conduct promptly to a MOFGA staff member.
7. Report Concerns Immediately. report any allegations or suspicions of abuse, fraud, or violations of this Code of Conduct to a designated MOFGA staff member.
8. Maintain Privacy and Confidentiality. Respect personal privacy and ensure all personal information is kept secure and only disclosed in accordance with MOFGA’s data protection policies.
9. Honor Commitments. While volunteering schedules are flexible, promptly inform the lead MOFGA staff member if you are unable to fulfill a commitment.
Anti-Hate Speech Statement
MOFGA is committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all. Any form of hate speech, including but not limited to racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or ableist remarks, is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate action, including possible removal from MOFGA activities.
Enforcement
Any breaches of this Code of Conduct will be reviewed and addressed in accordance with MOFGA policies. Consequences may range from verbal warnings to termination of volunteer or community member involvement, depending on the severity of the violation.
