This workshop is appropriate for those who haven’t pruned fruit trees before, or those who have just a little experience. Instructors will discuss basic pruning practices and required tools, as well as branch collars, waterspouts, fruit buds, and more.

Lubec workshop led by MOFGA’s Orchard Educator, C.J. Walke. Blue Hill workshop led by Phil Norris of Clayfield Farm. Pownal workshop led by MOFGA’s Orchard Coordinator, Laura Sieger. Unity workshop led by Edgar Evenkeel.

We have tentatively scheduled some in-person orcharding workshops at orchards this spring. Registration is limited for these events and MOFGA requires that participants complete a pre-attendance health self-evaluation, wear a mask at all times, and practice social distancing. These workshops will be held 100% outdoors. Restroom facilities are only available at some workshop locations. Please contact [email protected] with questions about these events.
