“Gather” Film Screening

March 18 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$5

MOFGA and Maine Farmland Trust are pleased to present the third installment in our winter film series! Join us for the screening of Gather on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Gather is an intimate portrait of the growing movement amongst Native Americans to reclaim their spiritual, political and cultural identities through food sovereignty, while battling the trauma of centuries of genocide. The film will begin at 6pm followed by a discussion at 7pm via zoom.

We are thrilled to welcome two panelists for the discussion: Heather Augustine of Wabanaki REACH and Mi’kmaq tribal member, as well as Kessi Watters Kimball – Mi’kmaq food and medicine producer based out of Kennebec County in traditional Wabanaki territory. Kessi organizes and educates with Eastern Woodlands Rematriation Collective.

Registration and viewing will be hosted via virtual cinema platform, Storyspaces. The $5 registration fee will help cover our costs for hosting the event.

We look forward to seeing you there!
