Take the Local and Organic Pledge!
August 6, 2020
Supporting our local organic producers is as important now as ever. Local organic farms are the foundation of healthy communities. In August 2019 MOFGA launched the local and organic pledge challenge to support local organic production. The pledge encourages individuals to eat all local and organic foods for a time period ranging from one meal to forever! Sign up to receive recipes and tips for eating local and organic year round. Learn more and take the pledge here.
Find Retailers That Sell MOFGA Certified Organic Products
We’ve created this map to help locate retailers offering MOFGA certified organic products for sale. Products vary by retailer, but we’ve noted products that the businesses have reported to us. The map should be used as a general guide and is subject to seasonality, variability and many other factors, so will not be 100% accurate at any given time. We encourage retail shoppers to support businesses that support our local organic producers. If you are a retailer who would like to update your listing or be added to the map please email [email protected].

MOFGA Certified Producers Share their Favorite Recipes
Many of us have been shifting our grocery purchasing more locally and organically in the past couple months. Spring CSA shares and farmers’ markets are pumping out delicious, nutritious, local and organic food for shoppers all around the country. Certain types of produce may be unfamiliar or the method of cooking and eating that we are used to may be boring and overused. To help us with these challenges, many farmers have begun to create helpful recipe webpages to assist in the preparation of new and different produce and spice up boring old recipes. Here are a few farms that are doing just that.
