Learn to prune fruit trees to encourage vigorous growth, healthy fruit set and quality fruit yield. Collection and storage of scionwood will also be discussed. This workshop is appropriate for those who haven’t pruned fruit trees before or those who have just a little experience. Instructors will discuss basic pruning practices and required tools, as well as branch collars, waterspouts, fruit buds, and more. Participants should bring any pruning tools they may have; saws and loopers in particular are helpful! Instructors will also bring a selection of tools for participants to try out.
