MOFGA’s Farm Training Project (FTP) workshops are designed for apprentices, Journeypeople, farmworkers and other beginning farmers. They follow an informal format including a farm tour and conversation on the topic of the day. All events are free but require registration.
Join MOFGA’s Crop Specialist Caleb Goossen and Calyx Farm for an introductory workshop on organic crop farming principles. Through a farm walk, Caleb will cover best practices for organic management of soils and crops, while Calyx Farm shares how they manage their diversified vegetable farm. This workshop will have pre-work included, consisting of pre-recorded lectures on the science behind soil and crop management. Bring all your crop farming questions!
For questions call 207-568-4142 or email MOFGA’s Beginning Farmer Program Specialist, Bo Dennis, at [email protected].
This workshop is eligible for travel reimbursement. At the end of the Farm Training Project calendar, a mileage reimbursement form will be sent to all participants.
