Eco-Efficiency and Composting with Plant-Based Materials for the Home

Join author and subsistence farming advocate, Will Bonsall at The Maine Organic Marketplace to learn about how to use plants to fertilize soil and improve productivity in your home garden. Well known for his work with seed production and preservation, Bonsall will be sharing his experience building and maintaining soil health using plant-based material. Participants can pick up a copy of the book, “Will Bonsall’s Essential Guide to Radical, Self-Reliant Gardening” and have it signed by the author. A resident of Industry, Bonsall manages his family farmstead, serves as the director of the Scatterseed Project — an organization dedicated to preserving endangered crop plant diversity — and is a founder of the Grassroots Seed Network.
