Located on 300+ acres of mixed farmland and forest in Unity, Maine, MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center provides ample space for MOFGA’s flagship event, the Common Ground Country Fair, while serving as an exciting venue for year-round educational programs and events.
The Common Ground Education Center is an event venue for all occasions including educational events, weddings, life celebrations, concerts, festivals, and retreats. From large-scale events to intimate celebrations, MOFGA’s property offers both indoor and outdoor rental options that will meet your event needs. Read more about our offerings below.
About the Venue
Indoors
A beautiful post and beam building, the Exhibition Hall includes the following:
- 250 person capacity.
- Two, six-stall bathrooms.
- An accessibility ramp.
- A full service kitchen.
- Twenty, 2.5′-by-8′ folding tables.
- Ten, 2.5′-by-6′ folding tables.
- 200 metal folding chairs.
Outdoors
With a diversity of gardens, orchards, open fields, forested trails, an amphitheater, and more, the grounds include:
- 400 person capacity.
- 150 car parking capacity.
- A comfort station with two, six-stall
bathrooms (available seasonally,
late May to early October). - Two fresh drinking water fountains and 30 faucets that can be connected for an additional fee.
- Space for tent camping.

What You Need to Know
- The Common Ground Education Center is a self-service venue.
- Insurance is required, listing MOFGA as additionally insured.
- Renters must remove all trash.
- There can be no open flames inside buildings. Camp fires are allowed with a permit in designated areas.
