Frinklepod Farm
Frinklepod Farm is a small, family-run farm growing MOFGA-certified organic vegetables, and flowers, on 4 acres in Arundel, Maine, near the coastal communities of Biddeford and Kennebunkport.
We are passionate about providing our community nourishing food and on-farm experiences that celebrate and increase connections to the land and one another.
During our peak growing season, our farm members and other customers shop in the well-stocked farm store, pick their own flowers, enjoy soft-serve ice cream, listen to the happy sounds of our summer campers, and sign up to attend events such as plant-based cooking classes, farm dinners, and concerts.

Hours and Work Season
This position runs from April 8 through October 18: Tues. – Sat. (with Sunday and Monday off). Start times are adjusted seasonally but typically are 7:30 am to 3:00-3:30 pm with a 30 min. unpaid lunch break for a total work week of about 35 hours.

Job Description
This full-time, seasonal (April – Oct.) position is a hybrid of two part-time roles on the farm. Depending on the time in the season, you may spend a full day focusing on tasks related to just one role, or your day’s tasks might be split between the two roles:
Seedling production manager
Background: We start thousands of organic vegetable and herb seedlings from seed in a heated propagation greenhouse and then move them into an unheated high tunnel where they are tended until either going out for sale or being planted on our farm. This position works closely with Noah who creates the production schedule and provides technical support, as well as with the farm crew who also do some tasks in the greenhouse.
Main responsibilities: Seed flats; bump up seedlings from flats to pots; organize, clean and water seedling greenhouse; record-keep; create/organize signage for seedling sale; restock seedling sale; provide customer service during seedling sale
High season: April – June
Produce Manager
Background: This position serves as the link between our farm operation and our retail space (the farm store), ensuring high-quality, super fresh produce for our customers. You will work directly with Noah and the store manager on a daily basis and in a weekly meeting.
Main responsibilities: Organize, record-keep, and store produce after it has been harvested and washed by the farm crew; keep displays in farm store stocked, with proper signage; occasional customer service in the farm store
High season: June – Oct.
Qualifications:
-At least one season of experience on a vegetable farm
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Able to accept and retain constructive feedback
-Able to take direction, and to give direction to others
-Reliable and punctual
-Good attention to detail, strong observation skills and committed to a high standard
-Energetic and motivated learner who likes to problem-solve
-Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs, do repetitive tasks, and work in all temperatures
