Packard Littlefield Farm is part of Cultivating Community's Community Farm Programs (formerly the New American Sustainable Agriculture Project). Our non-profit provides secure land access, shared infrastructure, training, and farming support to approximately 50 immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking farming families. We also host workshops and events, and supply participants with over 40,000 culturally familiar seedlings each season. Packard Littlefield Farm is currently home to five program graduates and their independent family farming operations, growing culturally familiar vegetables.

Job Description

Cultivating Community is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented farm manager to support the next chapter of the Packard Littlefield Farm in Lisbon, Maine. This role will join a Community Farm Program team of four, and lead cross-cultural relationships with community farmers and their families, work closely with partner organizations, and administer our community food/marketing program, supporting both local food sovereignty and economic independence for program graduates. Responsibilities of this role include: - Support day-to-day community farm operations on approx. 7 acres subleased to and cultivated by five New American farming families - Lead collaboration with partner organizations, including program design, facilitation of partner meetings, and implementation of a 2-year farm transition plan, in coordination with stakeholders and executive leadership - Maintain farm records, manage budgets, support grant administration, and support program recordkeeping in Google Drive - Lead participant and stakeholder communication, including winter farmer meetings, landowner communication, and field preparation planning, spring registration, program evaluation, and end-of-season check-out - Lead irrigation design and implementation as well as other equipment and infrastructure maintenance, including wash and pack stations and on-farm cold storage - Provide in-field and cross-cultural technical assistance and training to community farm participants, including working with interpreters and outside TA providers - Lead Community Food Program administration, including farmstands, wholesale markets, and the Mainers Feeding Mainers contract (approx $500,000 worth of produce sold in 2025) - Lead planning and implementation of collaborative marketing support for immigrant farmers across community partner organizations - Coordinate field walks, order tracking, and oversee farm food safety and compliance for current CC graduate farmers - Lead off-season Community Food Program planning, meetings, and training - Collaborate with farm staff on seedling production and coordindation - Organizational tasks and other tasks as assigned

This role will join a Community Farm Program team of four, and a total staff of 11, and is supported by our Executive Director, farm team, and community partners.
