Bahner Farm

Bahner Farm is a 37-acre farm with 12 acres of fields, a sizable woodlot, and a great view. We have 3 greenhouses, 3 hoophouses, an 1860’s barn, a year-round wash/pack building, a farmstand, a mix of other small outbuildings and our 1840’s farmhouse. We are located on Rt. 3, only 5 miles from Belfast.

Our primary operation is mixed vegetable production for our farmstand and wholesale. All of our crops are MOFGA-certified organic. We grow all of our own seedlings beginning in late February, and use our hoophouses and greenhouses for spring, fall, and winter production. We have tractors that we use for primary cultivation and tillage. Some weed control is done by hand or with hand tools when necessary. We hire around 4-5 farmstand staff, and 3-4 farm crew staff seasonally.
