Join author, artist and apple historian John Bunker to learn about the history and story behind the apples of MOFGA’s 2024 Maine Heritage Orchard calendar. The calendar features Bunker’s art, with each month highlighting a different apple variety. Bunker has been working for over 40 years to identify and catalog Maine’s historic apple varieties. Participants will have the opportunity to taste several apple varieties from North Branch Farm. Bunker’s books, notecards, posters and calendar will be available for purchase.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for a private shopping experience at The Maine Organic Marketplace. Talk and apple tasting start at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are offered on a sliding scale, with the $20 option including a 2024 calendar.
