The Art of Blending Tea

October 9 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$45 – $65

*Registration for this workshop is full. To join the waitlist, please email [email protected].

Join Emily Springer of Meeting House Farm – a MOFGA-certified organic herb farm in Scarborough, Maine – to learn about the history and art of blending tea/tisane. Meeting House Farm grows organic herbs for Infusion Herb Co., a local producer of organic herbal products.

Using locally-sourced herbs, create your own blend to take home. Learn to taste each herb separately and then blend a perfect cup! Leave with a handout on the principles of tea blending, a bamboo tea press, and your own blended tisane in a glass jar.

This workshop is co-organized by The Ecology School & MOFGA. Part two of this workshop, Blending Medicinal Herb Tisanes, takes place on November 13th.

This sliding scale is designed to make this workshop as accessible as possible while covering our costs and supporting our ability to continue programming just like this. Please pay what feels reasonable for you and your situation. The recommended price for non-MOFGA members is $55; the recommended price for MOFGA members is $45.

*Participants in MOFGA’s Journeyperson program and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) are welcome to register at no cost.
