Volunteer with MOFGA for an afternoon tapping maple trees to collect sap. The afternoon will be guided by our Low-Impact Forestry Specialist and the University of Maine Cooperative Extension’s Maple Specialist.
This will be a field work afternoon and may require traversing a snow covered field and sloped forested landscape carrying equipment. Volunteers should wear weather appropriate clothes and boots. (Cotton clothing is not appropriate work wear for winter weather as it does not retain heat once wet!) Be sure to bring water and a snack.
Limited slots available, please sign-up here.
