Join us for an evening in community and repair with instructor Maggie Ruth Haaland.
In this two hour workshop and circle, learn the basics of visual mending in a gentle and supportive community container. Visual mending is the process of repairing garments and adding stitches and patches to not hide the hole, but make it more beautiful and deepen its story along the way. Bring your torn and ripped jeans, worn out elbows and snagged sweaters, and give them new life instead of throwing them away. The first half, Maggie Ruth will offer instruction and stitch practice, and then participants are invited to work on their own garments as we sit and slow stitch together. As this is a repair jam, there will also be local jam and gluten free sourdough bread.
This event is being offered on a sliding scale: $15-20.
