Apple Tree Pruning Workshop

Learn to prune fruit trees to encourage vigorous growth, heavy fruit set and quality fruit yield. Fruit tree experts will offer hands-on pruning experience. Collection of scion wood and storage will also be discussed. This workshop is directed at folks who haven’t pruned before or have a little experience. Instructors will discuss basic pruning practices and required tools, as well as identifying branch collars, waterspouts, fruit buds, and about branch training.

There are two times available:

Know Before You Go:

March weather can be cold and fickle; please wear layers and waterproofs if possible. Bathrooms and indoor spaces are within walking distance of the orchard. Note that the terrain includes uneven ground, and participants will be standing and moving outside for the majority of the workshop.
