March 15 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

This event is held by the Southern Aroostook Soil & Water Conservation District, as a part of their Winter Ag School.

Speaker: C.J. Walke, MOFGA Orchard Program Manager

Location: Sherman, ME

C.J. will discuss basics of pruning fruit trees, with an overview of pruning tools and techniques. Bring your pruners and loppers (if you have them) and spend a fun afternoon learning how to prune fruit trees, young and old. We will also have extra pruners on hand. For those interested, the final portion of this class will look at refurbishing old apple trees. Please note that we will be snowshoeing or walking to gain access to the older trees.

A light lunch will be provided. Pre-registration with SASWCD is requested for this class.
