These sessions are free and designed for established farmers. Parts of these sessions are open to all, while our Maine Farm Resilience Program (MFRP) participants will have additional session time with our presenters after the presentations. Most sessions are virtual and can be signed up for individually or as a whole.Â
Open to All: 9 – 10 a.m.
MFRP Participants 1-on-1 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Facilitated by Leslie Forstadt and Polly Shyka of UMaine Extension and Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN). Consider who does what, how decisions are made, and how this information is conveyed to members of the farm team. Often conflicts arise due to misunderstandings. There are ways to build your own skills and the capacity of your team to communicate more effectively to reduce conflict and tension. We’ll learn some new skills (or might be a refresh for some), and begin to work on individual communication plans.
