Want to learn how to install a native garden from scratch and get your hands dirty while you’re at it? MOFGA and Wild Seed Project (WSP) are teaming up to offer a hands-on planting workshop. You will learn how to match the right plant to the right place, put into practice a tried-and-true sheet mulching method, and properly plant native perennials and shrubs. In the process, you will help install a bird and pollinator-friendly garden at The Maine Organic Marketplace (MOFGA’s storefront) in Freeport, Maine and leave with the confidence and tools to embark on your own native garden project.
Attendance is capped at 12 participants.
This workshop is being offered on a sliding scale from $0-$20
