“Milk With Dignity”: Farmworker Rights in the Dairy Industry

June 29 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

Throughout the COVID pandemic, migrant dairy farmworkers have continued to work day in and day out to produce the milk and dairy products that line supermarket shelves. Yet, there are still many workers who do not have access to decent housing and a dignified workplace on the farms where they work. The Milk with Dignity campaign builds a movement of farmworkers and allies calling on dairy buyers to ensure respect for human rights in their supply chains.

Join Migrant Justice for a 1.5 hour virtual presentation to learn more about farmworkers’ groundbreaking Milk with Dignity campaign and ongoing work for justice. During this talk we will learn more about how we can get involved and help expand this powerful solution to the Hannaford supermarket’s supply chain. If you would like to read more about Migrant Justice and their Milk with Dignity Campaign prior to the event, you can visit their website here.

This event is free and open to all. REGISTER HERE to receive the online meeting link.

Migrant Justice is a grassroots organization founded and led by immigrant farmworkers sustaining Vermont’s dairy industry.  Their mission is to build the voice, capacity, and power of the farmworker community and engage community partners to organize for economic justice and human rights.
