MOFGA’s Farm Training Project (FTP) workshops are designed for apprentices, Journeypeople, farmworkers and other beginning farmers. They follow an informal format including a farm tour and conversation on the topic of the day. All events are free but require registration.
Come hang out with UMaine Extension and the Pine Root Farm team to learn the basics of farm tractors and equipment. We’ll discuss considerations for selecting and purchasing equipment, functions of various implements and safety considerations when working around equipment. We’ll also demonstrate the steps required to start and operate equipment safely, and proper attachment and use of tractor implements.
