Fall fruit season is here! Join us at MOFGA for a day of celebration of apples & other delicious tree fruit. There will be guided tours of the Maine Heritage Orchard, workshops, cider pressing & help identifying unknown apples – learn more about that process here. Also:
- Educational displays about fruit trees and a huge display of heritage apples;
- Apple art activities for kids (and adults) – screenprinting, apple stamps and more;
- A panel discussion about growing pears in Maine, a talk by Angus from Rocky Ground Cider on cidermaking for beginners, and a 2022 Apple Growing Season Debrief and Q&A with Glen Koehler of UMaine Cooperative Extension;
- Heritage apple sampling – come discover your favorite!
