Come visit (or re-visit) Alice’s off-grid, low-key homestead, featuring a tiny cabin and gorgeous gardens. Ask questions about living small, keeping things simple, and adapting to changing life circumstances and visions over time.
Alice held a “beginner homestead” Gather & Grow tour with MOFGA 5 years ago. In this tour, she will share her experiences since establishing her homestead, and answer questions about dreams vs. reality, ability vs. limitations, growth vs. simplification, time vs. money, work vs. play.
She lives in a 100-square-foot cabin made with wood, clay, lime and slate in the middle of 16 acres, is car-free, debt-free, and is comfortable living on about half the federal poverty level.
