Felting Goat Milk Soap with Ledgeway Farm
March 23 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm$45 – $55
Join us for a relaxing evening of felting moisturizing bars of goat milk soap! Sarah Perkins of Ledgeway Farm will guide us through the age-old process of wet felting a full-sized bar of soap using roving wool. Felted soaps are not only beautiful to look at, but provide aromatherapy benefits and add antibacterial qualities to your shower or bath. Whether it be the invigorating scent of minty grapefruit, the rejuvenating mood lifter of lemongrass, or the stress relieving qualities of lavender, there’s something for everyone in the soaps Ledgeway Farm has to offer.
You will be provided a soap felting kit from Ledgeway Farm that contains:
-a full-size bar of goat milk soap,
-roving wool from Bartlett Yarns in Harmony, Maine,
-a nylon stocking that can be reused for your next wet felting project,
-printed instructions (so you can do this again at another time).
Sarah will also have large plastic bowls/buckets for each participant to use while felting.
You should bring:
-A small to medium bath towel (towel will not get dirty or ruined).
Masks are required to attend this class. Attendance is capped at 10 participants.
$55 General, $45 MOFGA members.
