Join Taylor Mendell of Footprint Farm out of Starksboro, Vermont for a virtual walkthrough of their wash/pack facility. This wash/pack facility is unique in that Taylor and her family live above the main workspace, meaning that the building was designed to be comfortable to live, as well as work in, year-round. The space was designed in collaboration with UVM Extension, is inspired by LEAN principles, and has a focus on food safety and post harvest methods that promote long lasting produce quality. Taylor will give an overview of design considerations then give a virtual tour through the space, highlighting favorite equipment and efficiency elements. Footprint Farm has a food safety certification through Vermont’s CAPS program.
