Learn to cook with a wide range of locally-produced ingredients, and enjoy a five course meal that embraces warmth amid fall’s chill.
We’ll spend the start of the workshop learning cooking techniques from instructor Autumn Joy Jackson: occasional professional baker, home cook, and one of our leads for the Farm & Homestead Day lunch. Autumn will lead participants through making each course, offering opportunities for hands-on learning. By the end of the workshop, participants will have acquired some new cooking skills, gained new recipe ideas for the home kitchen, and enjoyed a delicious meal.Â
Ingredients used will feature local and organic produce, dairy, and meat. See the menu below!
- Apple, kale, roasted veggie, and cheese salad
- Creamy pumpkin soup
- Yogurt marinated chicken
- Spiced milk and honey
- Apple caramel tart, served with lightly whipped cream
This workshop is made free thanks to funds from the Organic Market Development grant.
