We’ll be at Maine Conservation Voters’ annual Evening for the Environment – and we hope to see you there!
The event will be held at the University of New England Innovation Hall in Portland, Maine on Thursday, October 17 from 6-8 p.m. The Evening for the Environment is a gathering to celebrate the environmental accomplishments of the year. The featured speaker will be Phil Gregory, co-lead counsel in Held v. Montana, a landmark victory for climate justice in the first constitutional climate case to go to trial in the United States. The featured artist will be Mihku Paul, a Wolostoqey visual artist and writer who leverages her creative work for causes that protect The Mother (Earth). Â
MOFGA is proud to sponsor the Evening for the Environment. We are grateful to Maine Conservation Voters for coordinating Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition, and for all they do to promote address climate change, and support a healthy environment, a strong rural economy, and a socially just, healthy society.
