Farm Training Project: Diversified Vegetable Production

May 22 @ 2:00 pm

FREE

MOFGA’s Farm Training Project (FTP) workshops are designed for apprentices, Journeypeople, farmworkers and other beginning farmers. They follow an informal format including a farm tour and conversation on the topic of the day. All events are free but require registration.

Kickoff the season with a tour of a diversified vegetable farm to see various infrastructure and soil health practices at work. Dooryard Farm is a certified organic farm in Camden growing  for a farm stand and wholesale customers. We will discuss the many considerations for producing a diverse array of vegetables alongside MOFGA’s Crop Specialist, Caleb Goossen.

REGISTER HERE.

For questions call 207-568-4142 or email MOFGA’s Beginning Farmer Program Specialist, Bo Dennis, at [email protected].

This workshop, and other FTP workshops on soil health, are eligible for travel reimbursement. At the end of the Farm Training Project calendar a mileage reimbursement form will be sent to all participants.
