Diversified Farming and Farmworker Social
June 28 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FREEMOFGA’s Farm Training Project (FTP) workshops are designed for apprentices, Journeypeople, farmworkers and other beginning farmers. They follow an informal format including a farm tour and conversation on the topic of the day. All events are free but require registration.
Seek-No-Further Farmstead is a small, queer-owned and operated farm in Monroe. They produce vegetables year-round, goat milk and yogurt, and early-season tulips using sustainable practices that maintain and improve soil and pasture health. Through a farm tour, Angela will share their diversified farming practices, including rotational grazing and intensive vegetable gardens. Following the tour, there will be an ice cream social for farm workers and apprentices to connect.
For questions call 207-568-4142 or email MOFGA’s Beginning Farmer Program Specialist, Bo Dennis, at [email protected].
