MOFGA’s Farm Training Project (FTP) workshops are designed for apprentices, Journeypeople, farmworkers and other beginning farmers. They follow an informal format including a farm tour and conversation on the topic of the day. All events are free but require registration.
Come tour Second Frost Farm, a MOFGA-certified organic vegetable farm in Monroe offering a wide range of vegetables year round to farmers market and wholesale customers. The tour will focus on how to become certified organic including the yearly reporting requirements and MOFGA’s support programs to become certified organic including the Transition to Organic Partnership Program.

This, and other noted workshops on soil health, are eligible for travel reimbursement. At the end of the Farm Training Project calendar a mileage reimbursement form will be sent to all participants.
