Beginner Chainsaw Safety with Queer Community

October 25 @ 10:00 am - October 26 @ 4:00 pm

Learn safe chainsaw operation in these one-and-a-half-day courses. We’ll cover personal protective equipment (PPE) and chainsaw selection, and practice safe handling and open-face bore cutting techniques with instructor supervision. Designed and structured to create a welcoming learning environment for LGBTQ+ beginner-level chainsaw users.

Day 1 of this course will run 10am – 4pm, and Day 2 will run 8am – 4pm.

MOFGA has some personal protective equipment available for participants, please let us know what you need! The course is taught by a diversity of instructors, and hosted and facilitated by LGBTQ+ folks. All abilities welcome. Learn more about MOFGA’s chainsaw courses on our website!

We and our cohosts encourage and welcome masking and distancing but will not require it unless people are inside to use the restroom. If you are feeling unwell, we encourage you to stay home and reach out to us.

Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

$240 general admission and $190 for MOFGA and Midcoast Conservancy members.
