Baking in an Outdoor Wood Fired Oven

July 15 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$60 – $120

Learn the art of baking in a cob oven at beautiful Morning Glory Farm in Bethel, Maine!

Wood fired earth ovens make it possible to bake incredible crusty breads and pizzas outdoors at home.  In this one day workshop you will learn to bake using an earth oven in both live fire and retained heat modes. Together we will make wood fired pizza for lunch and then use the retained heat to make bagels, hearth loaves and pastries.

This workshop is for you if you are contemplating building an oven, if you already have an oven and would like to further hone your baking skills, or if you love good food and want to join us for a fabulous day of baking!

Delicious lunch included.

This event is being offered on a sliding scale, $60-$120. Please pay what fits into your budget. Scholarships are also available. Participants in MOFGA’s Journeyperson program and BIPOC (Black Indigenous People of Color) community members are welcome to select the $0 option.
