In this session of our three-part series, we’ll look at different types of benefits that farm owners can offer their employees beyond wages, and often instead of health insurance. It’s important to know your employees and what matters most to them. That can often mean considering various types of stipends (including health and wellness, dependent care, housing) or bonuses (quality or production-based), or earned benefits (paid time off, retirement account) or even a good workers comp policy.
Jason Entsminger, Assistant Professor and State Extension Specialist for the Maine Business School and UMaine Cooperative Extension, will speak on various popular alternatives to monetary compensation and answer any questions registrants may have in this hour long Zoom/in-person hybrid conversation.
