This event is hosted by the University of Maine Cooperative Extension.

This webinar will cover the basics of composting, including how to start and maintain a compost pile. Participants will also learn how to properly use finished compost to enrich soil and support plant growth. Perfect for gardeners of all levels.

Speaker: Nick Rowley

Bio: Nick Rowley is the Sustainable Agriculture and Horticulture Professional for UMaine Cooperative Extension in Franklin County. Nick’s work focuses on providing technical assistance to farmers, gardeners and other community members in Franklin County. Additionally, he works on research and education related to composting statewide, including organizing the Maine Compost School.
