Two Loons Farm is a 55 head Jersey milking cow operation. Located in Central Maine about 10 miles outside of both Augusta and Waterville, Maine, on China Lake. This farm offers year-round dairy farming experience with pioneers of the organic farming movement in Maine. One of the prettiest farms in Maine with beautiful Jersey dairy cows. Our dairy herdswoman is going back to school and we are seeking a key team member.

Job Description

Position could be part time or full time to match applicant’s schedule priorities.
Duties include but are not limited to: milking am &/or pm, dairy cow heifer and young stock feeding and care, free stall maintenance and cleaning including skid steer loader operation, cropping system, mechanized hay and sileage production, rotational pasture management.
Opportunities to learn about livestock care, dairy farming, organic farming, equipment maintenance and usage.
Starting hours and pay would be based on the interests and abilities of the applicant. There is opportunity for a mechanically skilled person to have more available work.
