Hours and Work Season
We are looking for someone who can work with us at least 15-24 hours per week during April thru October, and 5-10 hours per week Nov thru March.

Job Description
Part-time flower farmer position:
• Determine, guide and play a hands-on role in field care and maintenance…planning, soil monitoring, planting, irrigation, weeding, fertilizing, clipping, staking, pest control, etc.
• Manage the ongoing harvesting of blooms…dahlias, sunflowers, zinnias, stock, amaranth, cosmos, etc.
• Actively collaborate in our CSA weekly bouquet process…ensure optimal stems (quality and quantity) support required CSA-type bouquets for distribution.
• Manage Dahlia tuber tracking and end-of year harvesting…digging up the tubers, separating them, and storing for winter.
• Drive monthly planning orchestration…identifying monthly to-do’s, creating a schedule, keeping activity logs, and tracking progress and completion of tasks.
• Guide part-time flower field workers, as applicable, in all above responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and direct experience in agriculture and, ideally, in flower farming. They enjoy working outside, being hands-on, and possess a strong work ethic. Flower farming experience highly desired.
