MOFGA’s campus in Unity, Maine, is home to acres of forests and fields as well as demonstration gardens, orchards and other plantings. We hope you’ll join us for this opportunity to enjoy and learn from these features on campus this summer as part of our twilight gatherings.
Â
MOFGA is home to a collection of trees and shrubs that provide shade, food, feed and varied points of discussion. Join MOFGA’s landscape coordinator, Jack Kertesz, to learn about these plantings, which include American Chestnuts, Korean Nut Pines, Cornelian Cherry and more, as well as some time honored cultural practices including coppicing and pollarding. Maybe you’ll be inspired to add a new tree to your landscape at home, or just appreciate the opportunity to learn about some new-to-you plants!
