MOFGA Day at the 2020 Maine Agricultural Trades Show

January 14, 2020 – Augusta Civic Center. MOFGA offers free presentations and discussions, open to the public, on organic agriculture. No preregistration required. MOFGA also has an information exhibit all three days of the show. Staff and committee members are available to answer questions about our programs. Note: MOFGA members are encouraged to attend the association's annual meeting at the MOFGA offices in Unity, January 26, 2020 (snow date: Feb. 9).

Beginner Hide Tanning – Winter Workshop

January 11, 2020 – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., MOFGA's Common Ground Education Center. Fee: $75; $50 for MOFGA members. Join us for a hands-on workshop about the ancient art of turning animal hides into soft leathers or beautiful furs. We’ll spend the day learning the basics of hide tanning in the traditional way, and you’ll go home with the know-how and skills you need to start tanning on your own. Bring a bagged lunch. Kitchen Licensing Workshop

December 5, 2019 – Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., MOFGA's Common Ground Education Center, Unity, Maine. Fee: $50; $35 for MOFGA members. Designed for farmers and others interested in home-food processing for resale. REGISTRATION
