Statement About Coronavirus

Community \ Coronavirus Statement

Tuesday, March 17, 2020 | 10:40 a.m.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) spreads, MOFGA is monitoring the situation and taking this threat seriously. There are now multiple cases of the virus reported in Maine and we are taking steps to limit face to face interactions in line with recommendations from the CDC.

With this in mind and after additional considerations we have decided to cancel, postpone, or make accommodations for remote learning for all of our events through May 1, 2020.

Please visit individual event pages for the most up to date information.

We will follow the guidance and advice of the Maine CDC and will keep this page updated as the situation evolves.

Additionally, the MOFGA offices are closed to the public (online store is open) and staff are working remotely until further notice.

We are working to implement plans for conducting annual onsite inspections of certified operations to ensure safety for inspectors, operators and businesses.

We are committed to offering safe and healthy work and educational experiences for everyone in the MOFGA community. We will adjust our practices as this situation unfolds to make sure we are meeting those goals.

Do you have an idea for how MOFGA can support you or your community during this time? What resources should we offer?
