MOFGA To Host Gathering In Memory Of Russell Libby
The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) will host a celebratory gathering in memory of its long-serving Executive Director Russell Libby.

Russell passed away on Sunday, at his home in Mount Vernon, after a long struggle with cancer.

The gathering will take place on Sunday, January 6th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Exhibition Hall of MOFGA's Common Ground Education Center in Unity. Pot-luck refreshments will be served at 3:00.

Many people were unable to attend the memorial service in Moutn Vernon on Saturday, December 15th. The event at MOFGA on January 6th will provide an option to join the vast and diverse community of people who wish to pay tribute to Russell and his family.

Many have asked how to make a gift in Russell's memory. One of Russell’s goals was to establish an endowment large enough to ensure MOFGA’s long-term success. People may wish to honor his vision by contributing to the Russell Libby Memorial Fund. Gifts may be made online. Checks may be made payable to MOFGA with "Russell Libby Memorial Fund" in the memo line, and mailed to P.O. Box 170, Unity, ME 04988.
