MOFGA on MaineWatch May 6th, 2005

MOFGA's Executive Director, Russell Libby, will appear on the MPBN television show MaineWatch Friday, May 6th at 8 p.m, which will be rebroadcast Sunday, May 8th at 6:30pm. In this segment, titled "Food For Thought", Russell and Stewart Smith, of the University of Maine, will discuss the possibilities for, and progress of, sustainable agriculture in Maine. We hope you get a chance to view the show.

From the MPBN MaineWatch web page:

It's almost farmers' market season again in Maine. More and more, consumers and producers are touting the virtues of sustainable agriculture. But what does that mean? We'll put that question to the founder of a Maine-based organization that's trying to bring more organic methods to Central America, and we'll also get an update on how Maine growers are changing the ways they produce the foods we eat.

The audio portion of the show is also likely to be rebroadcast on MPBN Radio during an upcoming edition of their 1:00pm Public Affairs hour.
