Cleaning tomato seed at the Common Ground Country Fair

Cleaning tomato seed at the Common Ground Country Fair

September 7, 2018

Why save seed? Maybe for historical, political or economical reasons. Maybe because a variety is not longer offered in the trade. Whatever your reason, the time to start saving, or thinking about saving, is now – and the Common Ground Country Fair offers an opportunity to share what you save. To find out how to save seed, see Roberta Bailey's article "Saving Seed: An Introduction" in The Maine Organic Farmer & Gardener or check the Fair schedule for talks about seed saving. To share seeds, bring them to the Seed Swap in the Exhibition Hall on Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23. FMI: The-Fair/Schedule.
