Food Independence Day Poster

When planning your Independence Day festivities this year, MOFGA encourages you to plan your theme around food independence. Think about what will be in season that you can get from your garden, local farmers’ market, fish market or CSA share around the 4th of July. Strawberries, eggs, peas, greens, carrots, broccoli, cabbage and radishes quickly come to mind. See “The Maine Local Twenty” for more ideas. Then plan your holiday meals around those items.

Happy Food Independence Day!
