 MOFGA Makes It Easier To Eat Local Foods All Year Minimize

In May 2010, MOFGA began publishing bi-monthly Maine Seasonal Food Guide brochures to educate the public about the seasonal availability of Maine foods. Each full-color brochure lists foods in season during the months featured, includes several recipes that use many of those seasonal foods and includes other resources for local, seasonal eating, such as MOFGA’s Maine Local Twenty list of foods Maine has the capacity to produce for its citizens to enjoy all year.

The September-October brochure is pictured here. We also have brochures covering January-April, May-June, July-August and November-December. MOFGA also publishes the Organic Maine! Directory of MOFGA Certified Organic Farms, Foods and Products and the Maine CSA Directory. PDF files of the publications can be downloaded at www.mofga.org, or print copies can be ordered from the MOFGA office or from our online Country Store at www.mofga.org.
