Thank You To All Who Helped
With The Rally & Legislative Hearing
On Maine's GMO Right To Know
Labeling Bill!

On Tuesday, April 23, we had a successful conference, rally and public hearing on LD 718, An Act To Protect Maine Food Consumers' Right To Know about Genetically Engineered Food and Seed Stock.
Thank you so much to all who participated!

We had a powerful turnout and expression of our desire to know what's in our food. There were well over two hundred people at the rally and almost 100 people signed up to testify in support of LD 718! The hearing began at 1:00 and wrapped up at 8:00. Many of you were unable to stay long enough to deliver your testimony in person and we are very sorry that you didn't have the chance to speak.
We want to express our sincere appreciation also to the members of the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, for attending the long hearing and listening so attentively.
Our work has just begun! Now we need to ensure that all members of Maine's Legislature hear our message clearly. Please take the time to reach out to your state representatives and senators. You can find their contact information here:
Thank you again for all the support that you are giving.

Stay tuned!
