We grow according to organic standards but have not sought organic certification. We are inspired by the practice of permaculture and continue to add more perennial crops each season, while the majority of our growing space is dedicated to annual crops. Our on-site farm store sells our produce and flowers, alongside other locally made products, to both CSA members and the public. We also run a Winter CSA which features fresh greens and storage veggies. Throughout the season we host a number of workshops and events for all ages focused around farming/gardening, food, and health. Tide Mill Creamery is an artisan cheese and yogurt business, founded in 2010. We have our own herd of certified organic Nubian dairy goats (around thirty milkers), and we buy in cow's milk from Tide Mill Organic Farm. Tide Mill Creamery also produces certified organic pastured pork on the nutritious whey from the creamery, as well as organic lacto-fermented sauerkrauts (we use some of our own vegetables and buy in the rest from other Maine farms), and goat's milk soap. We sell our products on farm, at farmer's markets, through buying clubs, and in wholesale accounts (such as grocery and health food stores) across the state. More...
