Do you know the basics of hide tanning but want to learn how to troubleshoot, how to make it easier, or how to use a variety of tanning and preservation methods for your hides? Would you like to work on a hide of your own? If you have attended on of MOFGA's Intro to Hide Tanning workshops or an equivalent training, please join us for an advanced hide tanning workshop, where we'll explore how to preserve and treat rawhide, how to do traditional "bark tanning," and how to soften and treat larger hides or unusual species.

Please bring your own equipment and tools if you have them:
- Fleshing beam and knives
- Softening solution that you like
- Stretching post or rack
- Hides to work

Please answer the following questions along with your application for participation to ensure that this class is a good fit for you:

1. Are you bringing a hide to work on?
2. What type of hide?
3. What stage of processing is your hide in?
4. What do you plan to be working on exactly during our time together?
5. What questions would you like to have answered about hide tanning at this workshop?
6. How have you learned the basics of hide tanning? What have been the easiest and hardest parts for you?
7. Will you be bringing any tools or equipment to use or share? (Fleshing beams and knives, stretching poles, racks, softening solutions, etc)
8. Anything else you want us to know?
