Beyond Pesticides - 5/10/2016. Following an apparent accidental release of documents relating to the safety of the herbicide glyphosate, late last month the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) also released and then retracted a preliminary ecological risk assessment of another toxic herbicide, atrazine.
|Kids Are on the Frontline of Pesticide Exposure|
Environmental Working Group - 5/10/2016. By Emily Cassidy - Dozens of independent studies show that pesticides do profound damage to children’s health, according to a report released this week (May 10) by the non-profit Pesticide Action Network. The report, titled Kids on the Frontline, pulled together evidence from an array of peer-reviewed research documenting that pesticide exposure has been linked various childhood cancers – including leukemia and brain tumors – and to various neurodevelopment disorders.
